Hi all sorry for the lack of updates on this thread. Truth is I have been busy working on someone else mini and also working my normal day job so therefore haven't had the time but most recently I have been making some frames for some new seats for the clubby estate :)

 

Hope some people still follow this build I will continue to update this thread for my person gain as love to see progress when I get the chance to work on my own cars lol

Right update time, I have trimmed put the rest of the bodged inner sill and floor out and got the new panel in and ready for some welding using my intergrips. See pics all clamped up and in place. More pics to come with it all fitted.

Looks good, coming along now. One thing though, the inner sill where it meets the cross member should go straight along it not have the cut out to fit over it. I would weld in a piece into the cut out then fit it by drilling out the spot welds on the cross member and door step and sliding it up.

Hi thanks for the comment I did change that over when I went out to it today as realised that it wasn't sitting right, :) it's all welded in now and just needs some finishing then some rust protection then time for the new sill :)

Thanks for the kind words I can't wait either now a have plan in full of what I want it to look like so need to crack on plus I will be painting this.... My first full car so we will see how it comes out can't wait :)

haha thanks marco1972, been busy on other things lately still mini related just not my own... Back on it now at least a full day a week to get cracking :) Was at bingley yesterday and bought some goodies :)

Yeah its a great feeling cant wait got another day on it this week so will get welds cleared up zinc primer everything and they start looking at getting the sill on finally. This drivers side was way worse than the other side.

Yeah was a great show car park was bad refused to park on grass with clubby lol
