Looking good. Must be a good feeling to know it's not far off from being a tidy shell

Thanks James, Yeah it sure its just the other side to do, rear valance and door skins now then its finish the front off (fitment of the bonnet) and we are into prep and paint stage to be fair to the car it wasnt a bad shell just the normal mini bits and those over sills :)

Top work mate .... What width is your sill as I've got one to cut down ? Also did you plug weld on the seam and then seam weld onto the floor ?

Cheers james

Cheers jpw1275 - Errm cant remember off the top of my head they are just basic standard sills though, so look like the original ones that would have been there. I plug welded along the top and also plug welded it top the floor as well, then once cooled down ran some seam sealer along the bits just joined to the floor to protect it all. Hope this helps. =]

Hi all well didn't get any real time in the garage today due to doing other things but managed an hour or so turned around and decided to cut into oversill on the drivers side it's been bugging me as to what inside, and guess what it's not good in fact it's worse than the other side. A very poor plate on inner sill over the rusty inner sill and an over sill hasn't helped the issues over here.. I will let the pics do the talking.

That rot around the seatbelt hole makes me feel sick. It's funny when you dig through the car and find all the weak points and think maybe I shouldn't of driven it that hard or at all

Yeh I felt sick when I saw that seat belt area as well passenger side had surface rust around this area but this is moving... Can't believe I drove it like that... This sills are a mess can't believe they get fitted, going to cut the rest of the original sill out and start taking the inner sill out they we can rebuild....

Hi all I haven't managed to get to much done in last few weeks only have one day a week to possibly work on it is a drag, however I managed to cut a horrible plate that has been on my inner sill since owning it off.... And hey some more rust... Full new inner sill on this side I think..
Here is the plate that was tacked in all round ... Some nice work.... Not!

Mate that is absolutely horrible. I bet who ever had that repair put in paid quite handsomely for it. Good job it's going to get cut out. It's a shame you only get one day to work on it. At least it's moving forward even if slowly
