Is this really true.

Ive mg metro turbo casings from genuine mg metros and the casings and internal are exactly the same.

Further to this back in the 1990s my old man stripped my mums metro turbo gearbox due to a second gear failure,

we had the metro from new.

He bought a mg metro none turbo gearbox from the scrap yard and took its internal including the bearing and put them into the mg metro turbo casing,

the car in question was a 1990 mk3 metro turbo.

Im aware that some of the early metro turbo s had different internals in the engine but no one has ever really comfirmed this.

So does this mean a 998 flywheel housing and a 1275 housing are exactly the same with the non turbo 1st motion bearing?

I'm pretty sure that is so.

the hole is there but is blanked off it can be drilled out.

some 1275 mini s also had it blacked off.

some minis and the mg metros  had it opened up from the factory

Ive both types
