Lookin good! What paint did you use? Two- pack, cellulose? What evet it is its got old shine to it!

Well i've got a few more jobs out the way on my mini build. 

 

1st of was to finish the subframe rebuild with polybushes all round. 

 

 

 

 

Next up i refurbed the gear linkage and selector as it was covered in oil and general mank. 

 

Cleaned up and degreased : 

 

Primered 

 

 

Satin black

 

 

My harness bar also arrived so i got that fitted straight away: 

 

 

Finally where i got to was rewiring the rear lights and fitting them again 

 

 

I'll be ordering the bucket seats, 4 point harness, snap off steering wheel and boss hopefully in the next couple of weeks and will have pictures of the progress as i move on

Another small update to add. I've removed the 4 point roll cage that was in the mini and replaced it a full 6 point bolt in one.


Fitted up then primered:




2 Coats of satin black to add to the subtleness :




I then finished the dashboard refurb :

Slowly but surely its coming together.

Front Subframe is now fitted, which wasn't as hard as i though it was going to be.

This evening i collected my bargain of the year so far. 
£40 for 2x brand new cobra bucket seats.

The Interior is starting to come together now. 
 

The new suede 3" deep steering wheel arrived and fitted that straight away : 

 

 

The seats are only placed in position for the mean time while i wait for the brackets to arrive but its starting to look pretty decent :)

 

 

 

Harnesses should hopefully be here next week along with some other parts.

Well i'm happy to say the interior is almost complete, i've just got a few little touches to do but this is where i'm at so far: 

 

 

Seat subframes arrived:

 

 

Fitted them up straight away:

 

 

Snap off boss arrived so that was fitted too: 

 

 

Then the 4 point OMP harnesses arrived, which i have to say are lovely in the flesh:

Rear points mounted around the harness bar:

 

 

Finally the finished product with the seat covers removed :

From memory it was from a company on ebay, i've tried to find them but cannot see them any more.
