Little update
Drove the car to work today makes a change from the push bike :P went really well started first time which is unusual for my cars. Got to work and got lots of compliments from the people at work which is really nice. Swapped a few parts over from the mini whilst it's standing around. Few annoying things I think it's a 998 as the engine number is 99H also the front valence has a bit of rust which will need treating soon. Immediate plans are fit my harnesses service parts spark plugs Etc. do the front valance also fit a radio. The drivers wheel is black as the previous owner did a charity thing and needed it black so any comments welcome.
Jack
Also does any one know how to fit harnesses to a harness bar? Mine have bolt holes but nothing to wrap round.

It could still be an 1100, as the 998 blocks are the same as that of the 1100 if I remember correct, it's the crank that determines if its 1098 or 998, as you can fit a 998 crank to an 1098 block and convert it to a 998

Okay I have a 998 as well so ill measure the crank stroke at the weekend to see which is longer
