    One Carb Or Two?

Hi there,
I recently won a megajolt setup from a well known auction site for a good price,
However I have a few problems, it wasn't the best advertised and seems to be the tps setup, which isn't the end of the world but I was hoping for a map setup version.
Now I've been searching for posts on the internet about this but I cannot seem to find an hif44 carb compatible throttle position sensor.
Can anyone lend a hand or is it possible to use the mj without the tps sensor?
Many thanks
Lawrence

Cheers, I'm tempted to make a trip to a scrapjard and just look at loads till I find one that may fit, the wiring all seems universal 3 plugs which is nice

Pretty sure you can buy a conversion board to swap to map.

Don't think the conversion is available anymore. If it's an earlier 'jolt, of the self assembly variety, you might source the components. Any tps should work as the software can map its output for you. You could even use an external MAP sensor but mapping it would be more of a challenge.

TPS sensors often use the 3 way junior timer connector....

injectors and temp sensors are often the 2 way version.

TPS sensors are pretty cheap, I'd sugest getting somthing bosch, then you can reference the part no if you ever need to replace it. also bosch are pretty good for releasing datasheets.

the bracket is probably not that hard to make, the tricky bit will be coupling the butterfly shaft to the TPS.

You really need the right crimp tool for JT's, so it might be better to salvage a length of loom along with a scrapyard TPS. I find Ebay really useful for browsing through the options rather than popping countless bonnets in search of something suitable.

Cheers for your help guys, feel slightly less worried that I wasted quite a bit of money now! I think I'll go with your idea mini13 but like Ethel said get a chunk of loom with it too. I think i May profile down a steel rod to mimic the shaft and pop to the scrapyard to see what's compatible :) cheers guys
