Mine did that, it was a dry joint on the PCB not sensing something or other, it would heat and heat and heat then lock out rather than heating for a bit, then circulating, then heating, then circulating

It isnt a combi boiler.

top man! Any suggestions on a replacement? What do I need to check/ measure to know which I would need? I gather the standard size is 130mm but I haven't checked this one.Give me a shout if you need spares mate. I sell them for a living. Do you a deal.

will give it a go but it didn't want to come out when I tried last night. Will have a go and report back.No that bolt head is just a plug, remove it and the end of the impeller is behind it, that's what you need to turn, probably with an Allen key. Switch it off first then turn it and switch it back on.
