I have thought about using a battery kill switch in the mini inside the car... i thought about mounting in under the dash or the drivers seat as both a if i don't drive it and a security measure as the car wouldn't start like a hidden immobiliser. well done sir

Its on the road! Probably have done over 100kms in the 2 days, just getting nigglely bits sorted, accelerator spring was too stiff, choke wasnt releasing fully so idle was a bit fast.

Its certainly a different driving experience, bit hard to get used to as first but good all the same!

Doesn't look like I'm going to be staying in Australia for much longer, so have to sell the car.

Up it goes onto ebay, :(

No man :( You put in so much effort into it and you haven't even been able to use it for that long. Can't you take it with you to your new home?

Would love to, but to send it back to Ireland will cost around $6000 and then the import taxes on top of that.

Fair enough that is quite a lot to have it shipped. It's still a shame. Take it for a long drive somewhere before the sale so that you can enjoy it

A nice run to Toowoomba this morning for the Swap Meet. Meet some interesting Mini Mad People! Pretty good drive there and back.

Had a good bit of interest in the car, turned alot of heads at the show and driving through the city, hopefully it leads to a sale!

Had it listed on fleabay, checked my emails earlier and said your item has sold! Seller had 0 feedback score which I thought was dodgy, then messaged them for a 10% deposit to be paid, in return I got a response "I didnt want this, it was a mistake"

I better not get charged the final value fee of $60

Trying to get some quotes for shipping this back to Ireland. If I can get a good enough price I will keep it and take it home.

So far, going with a 20ft container, quotes are coming in at anything between $3,900 to $8000.
