It's been a quiet one of late, what with the pickup and little one. But the Sprite passed its MOT last week with flying colours and today I gave it a good wash and wax.

I used AF triple and desire and it looks mega.

Finally i have some rear seats on the way. They'll be here soon! They've been trimmed to match the front ones (the slit one has also been repaired).

They've arrived and I've popped them in for a trial fit. They're just what I wanted and worth the wait:

Over the weekend I managed to bolt in the drivers seat and all is looking good - no slash marks or anything! Well done customs :-)

I didn't have time to go for a drive on Sunday, but they seem pretty damn comfortable already.

Where did you get the seats ? front and back.

What type of paint was used on the car ? that roof looks like glass. Was it standard cellulose paint ? or 2K etc ?

They are Recaro LS seats retrimmed in leather. Rear seat is mine, retrimmed with some added foam to build it up.

I went and picked up my mini after having it in storage for a year! This is tragic but I needed the garage for household projects. Long story short it has a dead battery and I broke down 11 times on the way home - a 2 mile journey took an hour as we kept having to jump start It!

I got it home. Whipped the battery out and charged it. I took the time to replace the worn battery terminals and fired it up - low and behold it wasn’t charging and I had no battery light on the dash with ignition on.

I found some great advice from Kernowcooper and took the connector off the alternator. Then ran a jumper cable from the small cable terminal to the engine block - this showed the bulb was working on my dash and confirmed the alternator wasn’t much cop any more.

This afternoon I changed the alternator and all is well. I’m back in the game and will be giving it a good wash next. No pictures at the moment as all I did was change like for like - nothing to see but wombie is alive and home again!

No huge updates apart from I’ve been driving it, and it’s ace. Oh and a mouse has eaten part of my passenger seat over winter.

Here’s some recent shots from Bristol

Hi folks. I’ve dusted the sprite off today and think I’ve got a mouse in the fresh air intake - or at least did. Now it keeps ejecting part of the nest at random points through the grille - now I’m right in saying that the scoop only feeds fresh air to the heater?

The scoop by the ecu? Yep, up through the inner wing down the big pipe under the wing to the big plastic part where it splits off to feed the heater and the fresh air vent on the drivers side, the big pipe under the wing is lined with foam so keep it quiet, lovely mouse nest material!
Car is stunning mate

ah. That makes a lot of sense. In a way I’m glad it’s eaten than and not the inside of the car. Haha
