I've finally finished reskinning both doors, that took a lot longer than I had originally intended.

A coat of black topcoat on the inside of the door frames and the door skins.

A couple of Silentcoat pads stuck on the inside of the door skins to help with panel damping.

Doorframes mounted back in the shell to line up the skins.

Skins welded and the lip turned up - first with hammer and dolly then finished tight with a doorskin tool. I also put a thin bead of tigerseal in the lip just before I closed up the lip.

Then they both had a couple of coats of primer on the inside.

Ive impressed myself again in doing these as I havn't done anything like this before.

Next will be the front panels going on - honest.

Interesting, looks to be exactly the same as mine but just has a different brand name on it, really pleased with mine, looks from the blue socket on your wall like you'll be running it on a 16A supply, I run mine on a 13A supply and it does work, although I had to run it on a separate circuit with a type C breaker to avoid the occasional trip when it fires up.

Yer, that's a 32A socket for further expansion ;D , the 16A is just visible, but the compressor is going in a shed so I'm busy rewiring that for uprated power. Like you said it trips my normal mcb so I'm picking up a C type trip tomorow.

Finally started on the front. The front panel has only been clamped on for ages, so made a start on positioning all the other panels.

All clamped on but still need a bit of tweaking tho'.

So hopefully over the next month they should be welded.

I've not given you an update for ages so here goes.

The front panels have been off and on more times than I can count or remember as I was not happy with the fitment, especially with the passenger wing. But at long last I'm happy with them, hovever I might have to play about with the bonnet to get the gaps resonable.

She was never going to be concourse just as rust free as I can possibly get her.

Then all back off again and the front panel prepped for welding on next w/e.

I know what I said last time that i was satisfied with the wing gaps but I just had to have another play.

After another two days of fettling I've now got them to this which I am really pleased with - honest. Next w/e I'll be fiddling about with the bonnet, and thats another story.
