As promised here's a couple of pics of the rot I knew was there.
And arches also hide a multitude of sins, its the same on the passenger side
The flitches are gone as well as the door jambs.
Well you get the general idea.
Apparently I've got a box of bits coming from Minispares soon
More to follow

Ouch, that's going to be a rather expensive box of bits coming from Minispares. Just shows looks can be deceptive. From your initial photo I thought your GT was fairly rot free. Wow, you are going to be busy over the winter. Are you doing the work yourself, or is your local Mini Specialist / Bodyshop having all the fun?

jim5570 - Nah it was never rot free, just got bits from Minispares that were in the sale and what I think I would need first, with the full length floor panels, boot floor and doorstep/jamb repair bits in January/February. I'm going to have a go myself so taking my time and its not going to be quick and hoping it will be finished for her debut at the IMM in 2017 which all being well should be in Ireland.
domdee - its amazing what glassfibre, filler and a couple of rattle cans can cover. to be honest I should have done this years ago but I'm rectifying that now.
This is the rather large box from Minispares that turned up yesterday.
I expect there'll be a bit more scraping this w/e.

best of luck with your build!
I just need to get my engine out and I shall be on the same level
your shell looks in slightly better states than mine as mine is full of pot rivet holes from a full body kit
