jim5770 - Hopefully the plan is to be ready for IMM 2017 in Ireland, so I've set a target to get the bodywork finished by this time next year then a leisurely?? rebuild so I'm not going to rush.
DEPS - This is my first resto so just had a good read of many the project threads on here to get some ideas. Saying that I think i may have gone OTT on the shell bracing - even added a bit more last w/e - bracing the toe board using the subby mount holes. To do any work inside the shell now is a bit like The Krypton Factor
See what I mean.......
I'm planning to take the toe board off on the w/e so there'll be a bit more bracing to hold the bottom of the bulkhead to stop it flapping about.

Just a small update from last w/e.
Took the toeboard off, cut out a couple of rusty bits and made some plates.

Another Update........
Filled in some more small holes and cut out and plated bit more rot.
I had to redo the bottom right of the bulkhead as the metal was so thin I kept blowing holes and making a mess so I cut out even more and put a bigger patch in.
Then another run over with a wire brush and painted with zinc primer.
At the end of last week I put in orders to Minispares and MiniSpeed so hopefully more bits will be here for next w/e.
Any comments welcomed.

These arrived at the end of last week but not the bits that I wanted to do this w/e.
As the toeboard and front crossmember didn't turn up, so put the bonet hinge mounts back on and primed them.
Also decided to strip the rear subby while I was at it.
Hopefully a major step foward next w/e.

looks very similar to some of the repairs I'm going to have to do soon so I'll be keeping an eye on this thread! Good luck with it all!
