Van has a new home for when it returns from the sprayers! Its coming home, so I'll be able to work on it a lot more. Spent the last day cleaning the place up to get it usable again - the guy who worked here made a pig look tidy. Just a few jobs to do now and it will be tip top again! I'm over the moon

My grandad was a mechanic, and he built it all. The other side has got a 4 poster lift in it as well! When he died, his apprentice carried the business on - unfortunately its gone a tad sour in the last few months, and its had to finish, which is a real shame. Still, means I can bring the van back here, instead of being at work. Been out and bought a new compressor today, its a bit of a beast! Just need a few tools here and there to replace ones that have gone "missing" and all will be well. Most of the special mini tools are still there though, so far as I can tell only the flywheel puller has gone. >Thats a nice home you've got the car ! wish mine had something like that, how you come across that?

Well, today dragged on and on till about 3 when we went to go and get it. Of course, it was pi55ing down as well, just to make things more fun. Got it home at around 5.30, and apart from a short break for dinner I've been in the garage ever since. They forgot to spray the hinges and little bits that were in a seperate box, so I'm taking my wheels down tomorrow and having them done in the same colour while they've got the paint in the gun. Anyway, pictures:

Its nice to have an uncle with a lorry....

The eagle has landed!

Rear lights pushed in and bumperettes fitted

The inside will shortly be painted out

I need to get some rubber trim for the front so it doesnt scratch when I take the rags out, but apart from that, its about there. I've fitted the door seals and sill trims as well, makes it look much nicer. The fun part has begun!
