:) Yes.

Progress - got the fuel line in. Just need some clips and it will be done, along with the brake line. "adjusted" the alternator cover so the plug actually goes on. Fitted the bottom engine steady.

Steps taken backwards - fuel cap wont go on. Dont know why - the one off the blue car will, this one won't. Where I've moved the heater forwards to bring it in line with the dash and clear the turbo box the demister pipes are in the bloody way. And the biggy, for now - the engine is siezed up. Dunno why, its sat for a year in the unit, with all the holes bunged up. Its in gear as well, and I can't get it out because I only have injection gear linkages here, which are longer :proud: . I cant bounce it in gear yet either because I'm waiting for a carb'd top engine steady to turn up, as it is the engine tries to rip itself out of the bottom mountings when you try to roll it. Happy days...

On the plus side - brakes are about sorted (just need to connect up the handbrake), clutch is all plumbed up, suspension is done, steering is all done, fuel lines are in, I just need a radiator cowling and some heater hose, and the cooling system can go together. Just need an exhaust, a new inlet manifold (maniflow'll be rubbing their hands together ;) ), and connect it up to some eckletrickery and the engine should be running. When its unsiezed and out of gear, that is!

Gafmo, the lights are just from my local autelectric supplier, sure they're a pretty standard thing. I first got the idea from an austin A35 van I saw.

I was, a looong time ago. Then I came to my senses and realised that the mpi setup is cack! I am using the mpi wiper stalks and heater though, just to be difficult, which is where i'm having the wiring problems.

Also check you haven't used bolts that are too long for the clutch slave cylinder - if you have they work as a very good flywheel locking tool! You should be able to get it out of gear by putting a punch through the roll pin hole in the gear selector rod that goes into the gearbox and using that as a sort of handle.

Yes, it was the slave cylinder bolts. I'd loosened everything off a bit, but it obviously wasnt enough! I saw the replies on here, and went and took them right out, and hey presto it was free. Oops. It'll smoke like a chimney when i start it up, theres that much oil in the bores :D Went and got a gear linkage from the unit as well, and an mpi top engine steady just to get me by till the proper one turns up. So everything seems to be back on track...
