They look like the Allegro twin HIF4s rather than the MGB ones - I presume the fuel inlet is on the driver's side? If so have you got the correct throttle cable bracket?

As I have NOT seen your headlining can I ask where you got it? Is it literally just glued to the roof? as it looks to have no ridges in it. Very neat.

My van would benefit form that.

I wish my son would sign out when he leaves the computer. Arrrggg. "Not So Mini"

Thanks everyone!

GraemeC - they are off an allegro, and I havent got a bracket for the cable yet. I was just going to fab one up that bolts to the two spare holes at the top of the manifold.

Not So Mini - Yep, its just stuck to the roof panel with special adhesive. There is one join at the very back, where the sheets arent quite big enough to cover the whole thing. The actual stuff is armaflex sheet.

Not so mini - Dont know where you'd get the armaflex from, you'll have to try a local insulation supplier. It comes in 15m rolls though, which is rather a lot!

David - Theres quite a bit still to wire up, that pic was just holding the live and earth on a battery to see if it all works! Just waiting on a sparky to come and do the complimacated bit on the column, which I dont really understand. Its still quite an achievement for me to have got this far though! Went and bought a battery for it tonight - sealed, 45AH jobbie. Weighs a ton! Also got a radiator cowling so I'll be painting that tomorrow, ready to bolt all that together.

Got home from a couple of days working in Scarborough tonight, and there was a nice parcel from Mr Maniflow...

So without further ado:

Exhaust is all done, I've got the chrome tip on as well now. I love maniflow - it all went together in about 20 minutes, then we just had to mess about and make a bracket to hang it from the rear subby. I also got one of the sparkys on the site we were working at to put some crimps on my battery cable, so thats all done and connected up now, just need some clips to hold it up. I'm going to get one of those sealed batteries as well, dont want it venting in there when I'm sleeping in it! Hopefully the electrician will be coming to make a start tomorrow as well so everythings really coming together now.

Which exhaust and manifold is it that your using there?

Andy
