Don't be gay Pie- everyone knows vegemite is a C**p imitation of marmite.

Tom - the wood had best not rattle, its screwed down onto bits of foam tape, and theres foam rubber packing behind it to kill the vibrations as well.

Rear door on and hinged properly. The locking bar is a bit delicate though where the fibreglass isnt as strong as a steel door.

Bling fitted to front end. Rad and cooling system is all done now - we had to cut and weld the bracket for some reason to hold the rad away from the fan.

More bling, purchased yesterday. Need to figure out a good way of mounting them on now.

And wait till you see what we have planned for the steering wheel  It'll be a first, thats for sure!

you can use a standard mini mirror mount by filing the mound out slightly and then painting it

it lifts the mirror up to a more usable postion

Its looking nice i like the beer cooler you gonna but the innards of a 12v cooler in there?

Yeah, I know you can use standard mounts but I've always thought they look a bit bodged when they're put on like that! I'd like to have a bash at making something up better, anyway. I did think about making hte cooler powered, but in the end I decided it would be too much like hard work - I'l just stick an ice pack in there to keep it cool. Also gives me an excuse to drink faster if the beers getting warm... =]

Looking really good. One day I'll get the time to strip my van and do something half as good.

I will put proper doors on the back though. Never been a fan of the one piece. Each to there own

Keep up the good work. When can we see it at a show?

Just call me a genius. :) With help from Anton, I've got the indicators working, just need to power them up properly. Whooo!

Tidied the wiring up tonight in the engine bay - routed it through the air duct hole instead of the big centre hole. I'll be cutting a plate tomorrow at work to tidy that all up.

Pie, the wood will be staying as just wood. It is a van after all. I will probably stain or varnish it a little though. Not so mini, I'm sure you can do something easily as good. All it takes is patience to sit and keep trial fitting bits and adjusting till they fit right. I would have put real doors on the back, its just they are so damn expensive from BMH, and there arent any solid ones second hand. I've booked it on the L2B so thats my deadline. Should make it ok.

I think the flip fronts about done now - put the plate on tonight and got the bonnet fitting pretty well. Just need to paint it out on the inside now.

I've plated the big centre hole in the bulkhead with a nice sheet of brushed stainless, and I've cut another one for the heater duct hole on the left.

And on the electrical front, tonight I got the hazards and brake lights working, and the reversing light will work once I plug it in. Also got me a nice alpine head unit from my local chav-hole ICE shop. Once the bloke found out it was for a mini he was really helpful, knocked £40 straight off the price! wonders of being cheeky!

Well mark, when Toms driving along, and the road meanders to the left or right, he will (hopefully) move the wheel, thus moving the wheels of the van to follow the road.

Dont tell Renault though, they'll have them in soon!!!

>_<
