Not this sunday, but it won't be long before I am! Theres not much at all now - dash doors and engine are the biggest jobs, everything else is pretty simple.

Looking great  especially the wooden panels in the back, they look really nice!
Probably a bit late in the project now but if you need any electrical bits like packs of crimp terminals, fuseboxes, fuses, fuseholders, heat shrink tubing etc click the green text in my signature, free postage for TMF members

Lol, cheers Chris, but its all sorted now just about. Just need to get some more solder 'because I ran out tonight

Fitted a pair of LED lights in the back:

Also bolted the seats down, which was a fiddly job, but all done now. Dad changed the needles and springs in the carbs - the old needles were HUGE! probably explains why it was running so C**p... I've fitted AAA needles now as recommended by AC Dodd. I fitted a secondary fusebox on the passenger side as well, and it all works  I think I'm actually getting the hang of this electrics stuff! Also managed to drill my finger as well while I was at it, which wasnt so wonderful

Next up, the sparky who helped me do the rest of it dropped me some connectors off for the dash, so I've attacked that. I've got over half of them soldered together now, but its surprising how many there are - 36 wires to connect

The dash is about sorted now, just need to get a few warning lights for it and wire them in. I've made the bracket for the main fusebox as well, just need to neaten up the wires going to it a bit and rivet it in place. And try to miss my finger this time :P I never realised how many bloody wires there are in a mini.

Got it running MUCH better now - richened the mixture up and set the timing about right. Should get it just about sorted tomorrow. Might even drive it out and run it down the road... :teehee: Fitted the second fusebox, and the warning lights in the dash. For some reason the oil and ignition lights aren't working, no idea why. I'll have a closer look tomorrow. Picked up a set of air horns for it as well so I can fit them now.

Whos is the red one Tom?? Are they the splitties that RacingGreen had made and then sold??

Van looks mint mate, think the grin on your face says it all. But still wont be as big as the smile on your face when your driving down to L2B.

Cheers everybody. Mark, the videos were done by my mum, playing around with some new video editing software, which was very nice  Pie, the red one is my cousins 1380 beastie, he had the wheels done by fastcarl as well.

Anyway, been another busy two days. Yesterday I pulled it out of the garage to give the blue one a service, which took a while. Had to replace a CV gator that had split, but that was about it. After that we built the doors up for the van. What a horrible, nasty job that is. If I do it again its definately getting mk3 doors put on it. Also had a nice big sheet of polycarbonate turn up so we got the back window cut to size. Today I went and got it tinted, fitted the window, fitted mpi sound deadening behind the dash and got the dash fitting right. Not a bad days work!

Pimp my ride:

Dash all fitted and it all works now :dontgetit: Not bad for someone who was terrified of anything electrical not so very long ago
