Today's progress - Tidied up all that was done yesterday, POR15'd it, and got some hammerite on it. If I can get some time tomorrow I can tag the new inner sill on now. I got the outer sill properly welded on as well - wouldnt like to get that off now! I also got the last fillet done on the front end, and repaired the top mounting area for the shock absorber. at which point the welder threw a tantrum and I had to stop. Still, it is starting to get a helluva lot stronger again.

Today - finished welding inner sill in, I wont show you the pics till its all tidied up. Did put my door and bonnet on just to have a look



I've also been doing a resto job on the wheels I've got for it - I'll be putting it all into an FAQ when I'm done. I've got another 1 piece rear door as well - hopefully it will be straighter than the last one.

Sorry Bean, wheels are classified till I'm done with them! Which should be sometime next weekend, because I cant do anything on them this week. I got my exhaust too - 1 7/8" maniflow single box system and LCB. I think I'll need a new link pipe for it though.

I was working near blackburn this week, and the materials were late getting delivered to site... so that meant we could go to minisport. Came out with my wallet a good bit lighter! I now have a full set of spax adjustable dampers, and good quality hi-los all round. The rear door came, and it is an absolutley brilliant fit, infinately better than the old one. Thanks Nightflier! In other news, I think I may have seats sorted - I'm looking into getting my cobra classics retrimmed. While I'm at it I may as well try to make them heated, so I'm pondering that one. If anyone has any ideas, tell me!

Here ya go Bean - fully pimped up!

I'm going to do a guide on how to restore alloys as well, I seem to be getting pretty good at it now!

This is the new rear door in place - all I need to do is fill the hinge holes because they're on the wrong side, and sort out the locking mechanism, which is already on the other door I have so all I need to do is transfer it over.


This is some of the stuff I've bought lately - spax, rear hilos from minisport, front hilos from Alburglar, snap off battery terminals, W&P wheel arches and my maniflow backbox.


And I've found a colour scheme I really think I'm going to go with - here. Vauxhall Leaf green with an OEW roof.

Little update - seats are now waiting to be trimmed, gonna get them done in black leather, perhaps with green piping. And I think I've also sorted out the arse heaters for them. Wheres Westwood?
