Thanks again everyone! Its back in the garage now, I pulled the hubs to bits ready for the bearings to go in when they turn up tomorrow (I hope). The insurers have managed to send me out a letter full of marketing toss, but not actually anything usefull like my FRIGGING POLICY!  Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow, but royal fail round here only deliver at about 2 pm. IF it turns up, and IF the bearings turn up and IF I can get them fitted I should be getting it tuned a bit better on saturday. I hope...

Oh yes! Got home from work, 5 minutes later the minispares stuff came. Big thanks to my cousin for giving me a hand to put it all back together! Reassembled the front end in about an hour, just as we were finishing the insurance came so I shot down to Northampton to sort the tax out. Went out in it when I got back, and its soooo much quieter with the bearings done. They really were totally fubar'd! I went out and got a few quick photos:

:o <--- Thats me, that is!

Oh, and for those of you who were wondering what I've done with the steering wheel:

:) Beat that for ride pimpage! (Its even better because I can use it as my speedo - I've not calibrated the speedo in the dash yet, so when I'm doing 70 its reading 30  )

Very clever with the GPS Like it.

Be careful though my Tom tom under reads by 5mph in all the cars I've tried it in

Thats because GPS gives a true speed - normal speedos read a few mph over. It reads exactly the same as a road angel, so I trust it. One of my original plans was to mount it into the dash, but I ran out of room. Then dad suggested putting it in there! I've used the power feed to the airbag through the rotary coupling to power it as well, so I can charge it on the move...

The other thing I did tonight was fix lugs to the floor so I can strap/bungee stuff down so it doesnt slide all over the place. Its loaded up now, ready to go and do some bits tomorrow:

Nah, backstreet are running a treasure hunt from the pub on sunday. I forgot you'd not been to the last few meets. Dont think anyone is planning on going to the show.
