Minispares and KAD are great!

Spesh Minispares, ordered my Geometary kit yesterday, and it arrived today at around 10.30am

Tested one of my mk1 lights, need to do a bit more filling round the weld, but all so far is looking great



Added another coat of paint to the subframe, this time Hammerite Bright Red... looks better now

Looks fantastic, and for once, has intrustions on where to put the bushed etc etc etc

Even if the rear camber brakets look a bit flimsy...



KAD solid tower mounts, already had the lower mounts from a previous Project Mini...

Are you sure those are genuine KAD bushes? They normally come vaccume packed on a piece of card stamped with KAD, and are anodised blue. Those look identical to the flimsy Minisport ones!

The tower mounts, I was told they we're KAD! Oh well if they not, there not, they'll do for now.

Well the weekend had more of a twist than I thought...
I went to Brizzol for the new year

So pretty much fluff all happened this weekend..
But I managed to get the painting finished, and the tie rod arms, and lower arms on...

Just realised I need a cone compressor



Work so far lol!


Oh also notice its sat on my workbench! Yep I actully tidyed up!!!

All is coming together now, getting my front end of this month at Bingley Hall, so it'll at least start to look like a Mini again.

Need to order a cone comprssor thou otherwise I'm going to find rebuilding the Minis front subby rather difficult, but thats a minor matter, I've got Custom Brace bars to make, steering rack to paint, new ball joints to fit, rebuild my new calapers, and get some new disks...

So plenty for me to do while I wait

Yea my arse is quite numb now :'( i have to say your wheels look amazing, so are the final colours going to be orrange, black and maby red? Also i noticed when you welded a patch in to the boot on the passanger side there was a bit of a gap underneeth the light cluster and i was woundering how you would fill this, did you just weld a little patch in there or how do you fix something like that.

Sorry if it sounds stupid! its just i get a welder for chrismass and im tryig to pick up as much as i can.

I cut a small patch out of some sheet steel, and formed a snug fitting panel... cut what I didn't need, and welded away.

The final look of the Mini is...

Black roof (glossy)
"special" Orange paint (glossy)
Satin Black Wheels
White wall tyres...
Red subframe and brakes.

Should look pretty. the inside is Saude, Black, red/orange

Well ETF (esitmated time of Finish) will be around End of May/early June...
So it should be going to SMD, if your going again this year, let me know
