No I havn't I never knew he was doing 16v!

I'm bulding my engine with a mix of Morspeed, and specialist compoants bits...
As quoted by morspeed - with some slight head work, and different cams, he's seen 165bhp!! or nearly 180bhp with race tuning, but he also said, as standard, the K1100 will put out 140bhp!

I'm still researchng 16v, but so far, the above is what I need... the box, block, and pistons, I already have, so most the cost is gone... ok I'm looking at over £1000 for a cylinder head, but it'll pee of a few Vtec & K-series chips

I have been toying with the idea of doing one in the future. I was even thinking about the possibility of doing a 998cc one using a Nissan Micra head as I've heard that the bores line up and so on, so it's a start point. Should be a screamer!

Aye, I did look at the Micra head, the bores line up fine, but the water and oils way are just off! Same as a K1100 I surpose!

Just need to work out how I'm going to get throtle bodies & filter behind a mk1 bonnet lol

I saw one of these engines up at Morspeed a couple of weeks ago. Very nice looking piece of kit. The only problem is it may be 2008 before they finish it, if my little 998 head is anything to go by :'(

Reason why I'm using Specialist Components too!
I won't be finished till 2008 anyways, I'm going to really take my time, and the reason for the extra time - funds to be honest!

Well I am sure I can get a head cheaper than £250 that MSPD wants...
So i'll get the head, and send it off, or do the work myself!
