Depends what machining is needed really. I mean, is it a case of machining them to get the CR down, or is it for a recess in the crown for valve clearance etc?

Its on order :xxx:
But that £1800 inc's-

R1200RS head
R1200 carbs - and everthing that goes with it
ALL machining to the block and head
and the fitting kit...

and after talking to them - on my 1380 - I was only after 120-140@wheels, they said I could quite easily get that, and have the torque too - being 16v :(

The way I looked at it is, the 16v conversion - its just a cheaper form of 8 port... :ermm:

I'm not sure - I'll have to find out - but std cams AFAIK are about 280degrees, which is fast road in a Mini cam... I could beer them to 290, or maybe even 300, but then I'll loose the smoothness I'm after....

Just wondering have you looked at the insurance costs yet? Was wondering whether there would be a lot of difference between the K head conversion and one of the more popular vtec/vaux engine transplants...
