Hi Guys, The queue of jobs has now been worked through, and the electrics are next on the list!

I have a boat load of problems with whole engine bay pretty much. The wiring is 'excrement' and looks like its been done by a 12 year old.
The previous owner was a complete idiot, twist tied wires for lights, spot lamps wired straight to other lights, everything piggy backed like an idiot.

Front two indicators not wired in, at all.. Two wires dangling in each of the arches.

Wiring has been violated to fit in spot lights at the front (bullet connectors been cut off, wires twisted together....)

I have wired in the front main lights, there was 4 wires from each headlight, so i presume 2 for normal and 2 for full beam?

The current situation:

1. I have  Red/White and Red/Black female bullet connectors dangling at the front out of the loom

2. Solid Red Male bullet connector coming from left and right headlamps

3. Red/Green Female Bullet connector dangling down next to the coil

4. Random hose type cable coming from the horn looking thing attached to the dizzy, i assume its a vacuum cable of some sort?

5. Where is the usual placement of the indicator wires within the engine bay?

I have tried to look through wiring diagrams but, its really hard when it looks like the previous owner was trying to wire it all up with two sledgehammers instead of hands...

If anyone knows a straight answer, or a source to where id be able to piece it all together it would be much appreciated!!! Booked a day off to try get this done but its truly in a state!

Thankya all!

Busy in the Work Shop at the min, look in the FAQs electrical section and download the BS-AU7 wiring colours http://www.theminifo...ng-codecolours/

Should get you sorted, shout back if your in trouble

are the bullet connectors factory? Or aftermarket with coloured plastic insulators?

In the mean time...
5) they run from the wing to the underside of slam panel and meet the loom there. There is a hole where the inner wing/outer wing/slam panel join.

4) Vacuum pipe goes to carb/manifold

Big big help! Cant believe i didn't stumble across that "cheat sheet", will be a massive help for other areas too!

& Chopper im pretty certain that they are indeed factory connectors, there the cylindrical black things, not the usual spades that you see now'a days.

I saw two wires which i think matched the colours, go into the inner panel near the arch, but couldnt trace them to the other side, will have to look harder tomorrow.

I'd attach some pictures but not sure what websites are supported? Photobucket?
