Another boring update, waiting til pay day to get some bits to actually rebuild but until then I have plenty of tedious jobs to do.
A lot of my power drills/grinders have given up the ghost, so I dug out my Old Faithful for some wirewheeling of the boot floor / seat panel.
Love tools with a bit of character :)
Combined with a few flap wheels, sanding discs, nylon brush wheels etc etc I managed to get to this stage after a few hours.
The centre of the panel is great, a couple of areas are pitted and could do with replacing but the edges are past it. Ill try making these panels with some CAD tomorrow. The boot floor retails at around £300 I think so I can justify mucking about for a week repairing it, especially if I make the side / rear repair pieces out of scrap.
Battery box was perfectly preserved by the 5mm of gunk / silicone / tar / kyrptonite so will just need resealing on the edges.
The O/S heel board needs a bit of work though.
And I have been staring at this for inspiration....
