Perhaps just a couple of well focused pictures of the valve train as Kernow suggested would be easier than working out the video posting problem.

I have emailed Gazza82 the video, hopefully that will work and he can tell us what he thinks!

While I saw this thread a few days ago, I've only clicked on it for the first time today. From the title, it sounded like just another Head Gasket thread, but alas, no, it really doesn't look that way.
I do have to agree with the other guys though that the Mechanic here, while no doubt trying his best efforts, isn't too well clued up.
Why do we need to dispel any thoughts of an issue with the cam...
tell me where you can get a cam that would fit an A series but not work with an A series head?
Maybe this one? https://www.minispar...c/C-AEG286.aspx
Good thought there Carbon for sure, however I'm not sure that this is the issue. Cylinders 1 & 3 are timed the same as a 5 Port and Cylinders 2 & 4 are reversed on the this shaft, so we'd expect to see 'normal' compression on 1 & 3 and considerably less on 2 & 4.
<Edit: If it were an 8 Port Cam, this would have / should have been picked up at the time of setting the tappets, ie, the Rule of 9 would be broken. End Edit>
In leu of a video, what about 4 photos of the rocker gear, each with cylinders 1, 2, 3 then 4 at TDC?
