Extra Gear was far better than Top Gear.  Chris Harris talking about Ohlins Dampers and double wishbones galore.  Proper car chat, not the 'OMG THIS IS SO FAST!' nonsense they spout to the general viewing audience.

Just watched 'extra gear' on the iplayer well half of it. Still too much shouting although I suspect that is amplified by a large hanger which is empty. The rally cross bit was mildly interesting but the noise of the voices proved too much. Perhaps its my age

I gave up watching it years ago when it stopped being a CAR show & became an entertainment show with cars in it, if that makes any sense.

Watched it for about 20 minutes, I thought it was a complete and utter steaming pile of turd.  As soon as Gordon Ramsey showed up I went outside to do some gardening :-)

I liked it, first episode and its a bit much to expect brilliance immediately.

The first series of "new" top gear was dire, its not even repeated on dave it was that bad.

I actually enjoyed tonight's episode. Helped by Eddie Jordan and his theatrics. That McLaren F1 LT just wow... And the same one I saw at Goodwood this morning

I must admit I sucked threw my teeth when I watched the first episode. but I thought. new things need a little time to adjust
..getting rid of the old sofa and replacing it with a new one always takes a little time
90% of the time we finally accept it. same thing can be said for new shoes. and so on give it chance we may all be surprised.

week 2 getting better..

This weeks was miles better than the first.

I just hope that Chris starts to reign in his weird, over enthusiastic voice overs.

One advantage that Clarkson + co have is that they are very good friends off and on screen. So they could take the pee and wind each other up in a "natural" way. The current lot can't do this and have to seem a little too enthusiastic to have the show exciting.
That said though you can clearly see him who Chris Harris is far more natural as an on screen car journalist....
