another update, managed to get her started after having big problems with the carbs, and boy does she sound nice will get some pics up shortly

got all the sills and a panels and door steps on now all thats left is geting the flip front on and the chock connected up!

ok here is another update

when the sill was taken off!!

both sills on and one waxoiled (didnt relise u had to add white spirit and heat it up lol)


just need cleaning up a bit
rear 1/4 think this is the final coat cant seem to satisfy meaself with the finish

engine complete all set up and wkin very nice at last

wks pritty well and easily done
and this is the finished product im now aiming for except i am going to be adding group 5 arches and superlights to the car

another update all, started making some brace bars today, and i was quite suprised at the time it takes to manufacture pics are bellow:

get the flip front on and add the valance then mot cant wait, should be able to get the flip front this month and possibly the vallance
does anyone recomend these flip fronts

managed to get my other brace bar on today took me very little time after working out everything yesterday with the other one, very satisfied with the finish i had.

the front end looks amazing we seem to be doing similar projects. how did you find chopping the front end off? i'm doing mine next week. Best of luck with it all.

cheers silverblack, front end was pritty easy to cut off in fairness, i used a angle grinder with a cutting disk which made life extremly easy, took me about half an hour if i remember right, the only thing that i would advise you is to be carful when cutting around the top end of the wings, joing the wing to the a panel and shuttle panel and the top end of the inner wing appart from that its easy enough if you need any advice please feel free to pm me.

Started working on the mini now since im on holiday, this is what ive managed to get done today


removed the dash and insalation

cut a dirty great big hole removing the majority of rust


made more panels

ground back and smartened up


primer to prevent rusting
