It's looking really good!
Almost like a new shell.
Are you going back to Silver?

Cheers Ben. Trying to find a nice blue that's not to in your face bright. I have Ral 5012 but not convinced and I also need to find some space somewhere to spray it.

Always one mate, ignore and if you are working on it in social hours you will be fine. Unless you're not covered to work in the garage area if council owned if you know what I mean
I'm a private tenant not council, i get on and talk to most my Neighbours. I'm a reasonable person but would appreciate someone to come directly to me so we could come to a agreement. I'm not going to stop, It's not going to be forever and as far as i'm concerned everyone's entitled to a hobby.
Thanks for taking your time to read and comment.
No worries at all, its good to see the progress on the shell to be fair, I need to get under my Mk3 as some point as I think the sills needs a bit of tlc

The problem with vw's is the spray sealer they use at the factory, don't get me wrong it's good stuff but cracks, goes hard then lets water in.
Appreciate the encouragement from you all.

New jacking point stumps arrived yesterday, so thought id get them fitted today.
New stumps drilled for plug welds.
Weld primer applied.
Drivers side welded and cleaned up.
Passenger side welded and cleaned up.
Forced a load of epoxy primer in each side with spray gun and brush, looks messy but will clean it up after It's dry.
Drivers side.
Passenger side.

Removed headliner last week. Removed sound proofing and glue residue from inside roof skin which left me with some rusty spots.
I spent a few hours today spot blasting and sanding ready for some paint for protection before more soundproofing.
Applied some epoxy primer.
Then applied raptor straight after wet on wet thinned for gravity fed gun.
Hopefully that has protected the inner roof skin for a few more years. I will more than likely stick some spray wax in the cavities before re fitting the headliner.

Few more hours managed today.
Fitted some new sound proofing to inner roof skin, I've used a lot as the roof skin was pretty flimsy and tinny before.
Did a load more seam sealing.
