So i'm back on the golf again. Still stripping rubber undercoat from back end, there's lots of awkward spots so could take some time.

wow just caught up with this build that is a top quality finish underneath they never left the factory like this, nice work.
and that mini is looking a well and those are getting hard to find.

It looks like a nice base of a car mate, and I am sure once you have done the golf you can crack on with the mini, if it has anything close to this finish it will be ace!

Remember the engine bay when I started this project.

New colour applied. I will wet sand it then give it another finishing coat as I did get some runs.



Looks grey in pics but it is blue.

Made up a repair piece for the inner arch and welded in.

Weld primer applied ready for outer arch repair.

Outer arch repair piece welded in and grinded down.


Skimmed with first layer of filler, This wont need to be perfect as the outer sill will be stonechipped and the outer arch will
have a cover fitted. I'll still get the repair as best as I can. Both rear arches have some dents to sort also.
