I know. I would love some reverse rims but the price is a TAD off putting lol.

Bungle im not going 8-port, not even 7-port.

Cheers DJH Motorsport. Jeff@minimag, was saying to me at the malvern show, he loves the fact my mini looks a lil "ruff" too.

Mind you, at dragwars i lost to a Vtec converstion by 0.4 of a second so the car doesnt hang a bout

Wow, what a really usefull post that was.

Dont you get a bit bored of saying the same things over and over. Im sure i recall you posting the same sort of thing in a different area.

If he wants to have a go at getting to 100bhp, whats the problem?

If he trys, and fails, at least hes tried something different.

I dont think anything of you to be honest, just a comment on the post.

Fine, you wont believe it till you see it, but, its been said once, theres no need to keep saying it.

I'll watch this topic, be good to see how much you can squeeze from a 998 and how much it costs.

Dog, as i have said before, and others have stated, 100bhp i easily possibly from a 998. Im not using ANY forced induction, but there will be some "non-standard" 998 bits on this engine.

Also, if we could keep this topic on topic rather than another "Dogmatix think" then that would be great.

Will you be keeping it a 998 or boring it out any? 100 bhp is possible I would have thought, what are the sevens runnning? It won't be cheap though! as I'm pretty sure you're aware

EXACTLY, why get a 1275, when you can get a 1410! or why stop there why not go Vtec or Z-Cars??

Who do you know that has a 998 with 100bhp??

I dont know anyone, and no one i know does either!

I dont want to follow the crowds and go to a 1275, id rather stick with a 998 (low insurance) and mod it too hell and back.

I know its not going to be cheap, but with the cam and crank im getting and the head its gonna be mental.

As for boring it out, im not sure on that yet, the thought had crossed my mind though.

could get a 1275 block and de-stroke it i looked at the graph and the size of the engine can be very square which would mean being very revvy wouldnt it?

Just to correct a couple of points, getting a 998 to 100bhp isn't easy.

And sticking with a 998 because insurance is cheap is a bit of a non-point. A 998 with 100bhp will cost a fair bit more for insurance than a 1275 with 100bhp.
