yup i shall do, iv spoken to someone and aparently there will be a new version of 8 port coming out in the not too distant future it will use standard rocker gears and cam and same deck heigh so no special push rods, means in a sence will be cheaper rather than having to get special everything, on the otherside i might have to get a special cam made up anyway due to being a lil special

Have you thought about remote filtering the oil? Have a chat with Icklemini about it, sounds perfect for what your planning.

And boy oh boy, thats quite a list!

I've seen it too hiding in the bottom corner =] . Does anybody know anything about it? Sounds like a goodn' from the small description, hopefully it will carry all the benifits off the 8 and 7 port. Altho, saying that, you're always going to need the different cam and exhaust, so its bound to be a bit more expensive than the 7. I think vizard said tho that a problem with the 8 port was that you couldn't get as bigger valves in it as the 7 port. Also if u wanted webers you had the same problem as on a 5 port - you needed the longer manifold to get best performance, which means having them hang out the bonnet. So if they can sort those problems, as well as the other 8 port issues, and provide better flow characteristics than the 7 port - ITS GONNA BE MINT! :D

hmm not sure at the mo about somthing...seein dog it gettin 16v for less than the price of the 8 port, i may "just" ent up charging a 16v bike head...PROBLEM being is combusion chamber going to get too high compression ratio, not keen on de-compression plates ether
i told myself id make my mind up when iv seen results of the 8 port head like the flow and BHP potential, they will most certainly be in N/A form but i should still be able to compair between the 16v bike and new 8port N/A

gettin moneys a pain still on bloody traine rate grr! also lookin for another mini and debts doesnt help!

people are turboing the bike head, so should be no probs with supercharger. i think i rad somewhere that some of them had 28cc chambers? can anyone confirm this?

changed a bit again :) doh...lets see...

almost settled on the engine, just there little thing still need to be worked out. so 1430 (1380 stroked) running BMW k-series 16V bike head, and still sticking with the supercharge idea too which means theres going to be one hell of wierd belt driving arangment.
the Cyl. head will be fuled by throttle bodys the supercharger will sit behind the engine above the or behind the manifold, pipe will then lead to an intercooler and pipe leading to a split upto throttle bodys

might be getting the engine soon as my friend has a 1380 coming which he says i should be able to buy from him, so ill be able to sell the crank n pistons (or what ever chris sells me) and use the block as a start point

well iv decided that that rallying is going to be too harsh on my big expensive engine also using a 1430 would put me in the 1400-1600 class but then as its running forced induction there is a 70% increase in capasity....yep so that puts me in the over 2 litre class which means i would just get slaughtered!!!!! so now its going to be a track car..again not sure which track racing to do but i just want to race

as im not going to do rallying means a few stuff can change, means i can go lower, i can get split rims :w00t: perhaps force or MB's and miglia arches. i like the idea of rear disfuser just not sure about exhaust options. also as im not ralying means all the parts i was going to get in FG because stone damage etc i can get in CF for weight reduction...i want it light!!!!

When my car is working again come and have a go in it, it might just change your mind about the supercharger and make you stick to 16valve....
