I will be riding around on a CBR600f at 17 so i will have a while to get my insurance down, i was quoted £700 on a 600 at 17 which i was VERY pleased with! So i think i will have my CBR600f for a few years untill my mini is going and could maybe drop a 1380 but i dont know yet haha!!

any advice would be very much appreciated!

i done pretty much the same thing at 17,dont forget you'll have to get the bike restricted to 33bhp,easy to remove once you got certificate, usually they put disc's in the carbs with holes drilled/or plastic thingy above throttle slide in carb.my vfr400 still done 130mph even when restricted.also no claims bonus on bike does'nt count on car policy, they just wont do it.good luck when u do your test

I found that about 99% of insurers dont count bike No-Claims and then the ones that do won't insure modifie cars.

Thanks to the legendary BIGGAV i have a new drivers floor panel!

I have decided to go for a satin black colour schemeand go for a stealth look of black body, roof, wheels and arches topped of with a black & carbon fibre interior!

Will find out my money situation and may hopefully go and get my 1275 from Mini Dan on wednesday/tuesday!

Once i have replaced my valance and floor panel i should start to get some where!

Need to buy a new rear valance so if anyone can help me out there i would love them very much!

i have decided to de bumper the front and back and i am also after a flip front if anyone can offer me a hand there!

Engine wise i think i may but a 1275 block and get it bored out to a 1330? Is this posible and how much would i be looking at? Would it also be worth adding a pair of twin carbs? I really am rather lost on the engine front so any advice at all i will be very gratefull!

all i am bothered about at the present time is fitting my new floor and rar valance!

smudger sells fibreglass rear valances which have no lip and are simply riveted and bonded to the car, so you don't have to mess round with welding on the rear to de-seam after the bumper is off.

Wish I remember this, when coming to weld mine together!

Ah well ive got my metal one now. That'll do me fine need to practice my welding anyway ;)

I want to have the extetior raer half of the car done by 2007. So that gives me 2 months to get my valance on and de-bumpered, fit my smothed boot with internal hinges and release, subframe out hamerited, painted and back on, rear hi los in new rear shocks rear end painted and then next year i will concentrate on getting the front end done and the engine in and sorted for july time and then i can get the interior sorted and start custmising things :w00t: .

I thnik i will go for a 1330 engine, because it will be clased as a 1.3, i just need to decide on a engine spec.

Why not look at my engine spec?

With the extra +60 you'll get alot more torque out of your motor than I would....

It is... I can copy n paste it into here if you wish?

With mine, a 1275 bore, "on paper" it should pull about 70-80bhp, and about 70-80lb of torque, with a bore incrase say to 1330, like your saying, it might, MIGHT touch 100bhp!
