April 2005 I believe...light blue van...I remember a while ago there was a mini van with a "lotus" engine, IIRC it was just the 1.8VVC metro engine, but i THINK that was in a standard front. Might be worth getting a back issue and having a look?
I think it was in miniworld, not 100% sure though.

I finally solved the mystery of why dilly wouldnt run. and its excellent!
On the crank pully there is a "TDC mark" on the face. So off i went, drilled/tapped/installed the trigger wheel with the missing tooth aligned to TDC. Ever since, its never fired up but i changed the leads round and got it running. anyway, i suspected that maybe the pully wasnt fitted properly or something so i got it to tdc and marked it myself with a grinder.
It turns out that the mark i made was about 100degree's out

It didnt make sense. so anyway i decided to take the pully off and retap it so i could align the missing tooth with my new TDC mark, only to discover another marking for TDC on the BACK!!! of the pulley. i mean what the hell? and it was perfectly in line with the one i made..
So thats why she wouldnt fire up straight away. everything will be fine now

Probably will have to order up a new trigger wheel as i redrilled mine wrong... fudge.. It wouyld be fine for welding or using the existing holes etc. if anyone wanted it.

Got my portable divx recorder and i must say its fapping amazing! this year should see alot more footage... i have the capacity to record non-stop from my house to germini if i really want to but the overnight footage might be a bit boring.

Tomorrow's jobs are...
Finish off backbox and exhaust hangers
Mount flipfront
Cut out dashboard holes and such.
Hmmm hummm slowly but surely.

The complete exhaust system using an R6 backbox. Unfortunatly its bigger than expected but will change once back from germany...

Painted in blue VHT to match the bucket seats

Extended fronts fitted to the car, but not finished working on it yet. I have a new front bumper in the pipeworks that once its arrived will cover up the mounting holes, etc for the hinges..

Rad fits in so snug, i had to trim the headlight with an angle grinder... lol

New rear valance fitted, proper bo i tell thee!!

2 trumpts how i might fit them, then i paintshopped (very very quickly/rough) to show what i intend on doing. this way they should not fight for the same air. This method is used quite often.

Trimming the rear subframe to get the exhaust up as high as possible. THe exhaust was my main concern when doing this conversion as i wanted it tucked right away so i could hammer it offroad and not worry about grounding out on the exhaust... hence why my gear selector is inside the car, so i can use the tunnel purely for the exhaust system.

The can strapped in, very big. Light as anything mind, and a good silencer.

Miglia arches have still not arrived, ive taken off the old arches and im starting to worry that even they will not cover these monsters..

Dash is all planned out on paper and then stuck down to use as a guide to drill all my pilot holes.. perfect!

I hope you all enjoyed that, i sure did. felt like i got loads done today, excellent! Depending on the time it takes for the arches and kit to arrive, i aim to have it booked in for an MOT next tue/wed. Maybe just maybe!!!!!

Had a good day, managed to get the wiring loom sorted! This has lifted a big weight off my shoulders. Not really much to report as ive got so many little jobs to do, i doubt people want to see pictures of exhaust hangers,etc...
I did stop for tea today, and a chat with mr pie-face though...
