What have i done?!?!?!?! I went ahead and booked it in for an MOT next monday. Just to up the stakes a bit :ermm:

Had a good day, managed to get the wiring loom sorted! This has lifted a big weight off my shoulders. Not really much to report as ive got so many little jobs to do, i doubt people want to see pictures of exhaust hangers,etc...

I did stop for tea today, and a chat with mr pie-face though...

Oodles of Noodles in an instant... mmm healthy!!

LOL im liking the idea of noodles out in the garage hhhmmm.... i might have to start doing that :D

I hope you dont mind me asking a few questions, as im planning on starting the conversion in about 6 months to a year.

Iv been looking through the 16vminiclub and it seems that alot of people are using these spring:

Do they have to be used? if not what other options would i have?

Also what shocks do i use, metro or mini? And do you just weld the mini top shock mount in to a new position or do i have to make a new bracket?

And finally what have you done about the wheels pcd? have you had the wheels custom made so the rear's have a smaller PCD than the front? or how have you got round the problem?

Sorry to ask loads of questions but and help wold be great :ermm:

i'm using gaz coilovers and top brackets from huddersfield spares, you need to make the bottom brackets though (it's not difficult) and 'adjust' the top coilover brackets. as for the wheels i'm using metro gta alloy wheels to suit the metro hubs and watsons rear spacers to make the track equal and give the same pcd all round. alternatively you could re-drill your hubs and use mini wheels or have some wheels drilled to suit

wow, MOT tomorrow am i bricking it or what!!

To be honest i think it'll fail on Emissions and Brakes. THe emissions i cant do much about till its on the road, and its the same situation with the brakes as theyre a little rusty on the surface... WIll ride them to the MOT lol.

The hassle ive had with the miglia arches is never ending, so much so ive had to send them back as i got the wrong ones. So the right size will turn up after the MOT, but what to do for the MOT? well, i managed to make some that were legal... legal but ugly ;D
