Its that time of year again.... due to the complete lack of sleep last night because i stayed up playing guitar hero 3 all night means that obviously I'd be getting some rest today, right?


WRONG!!


Felt like working on dilly today, and im happy to say i got a lot accomplished :thumbsup: First of all i started ripping bits off that i had rushed to get it running for the nurburgring and started doing them again.

Mini brake master cylinder came off. Measuring and fitting of the new Girling 0.625-bore master cylinder. Started to make some new brake lines but got stuck when i couldnt get a 4-way union in town. so thats on hold for the moment.

Gutted and welded up the standard fuel regulator now, so this does nothing (damn odd shaped fuel rails) and fitted my adjustable fuel regulator. Set the rail pressure to 45psi@idle so i can now make sure its flowing the correct amount of fuel as to what im telling the ECU.

Going back down now, will add pics later. =]

Indeed i have, unfortunatly ive no pictures as yet. Will upload a couple in a min.

Just got back from the workshop today, oh so sweaty with this heat!!! :wub:

Since the last update ive managed to get the brake system finished with a proportioning valve fitted, the initial bleed was a pain but after 2 flushes all the air was out. The brakes are going to be pretty mental. Ive also fitted the rear carmber brackets and set them to max negative for the moment. The rear miglia arches are trimmed and ready to rivet on once im happy with the ride height of the car.

im half way through making a back box for the car so that i can make it how i want it to give maximum ground clearance for maximum lowering! Thats on hold for the minute as i ran out of materials.

Also, ive been down and talked to Mark Shillibear from our local motorsport engineer do dah place and he's going to setup the car for me on throttle bodies. I dont know how much this is going to cost but we shall see. I'll also get a figure for power, as i already have a weight for the car now (620kg)

At the moment its 50/50 weather dilly will be done for germany. Phsically 100% possible but financially im very very very tight!

Well today i didnt manage to get too much done as i ended up being too lazy in the sun. I did however manage to finally get round to sorting the throttle bodies out.

Because of the K-series port spacing being wider than the Suzuki's ive had to extend the "tabs" which join and operate each butterfly indivdually. Ive not quite finished. I just have to make some spacers and get some longer threaded bar, and that will be sorted.

Just have to make an exhaust after that and mount the steering column in the right position and then its off for mapping. :thumbsup: yay!

Down the workshop again today. This time i started working on my new dash.

Last time i went down i made my templates for the new dash and centre console. i drew out my templates on the sheets of alloy i bought last week and started to cut them out. The jigsaw was being a pain in the ass and the blade was clogging up as it was so blunt so out came the angle grinder!

After cutting the Templates out i got to work on the panels for fusebox, speedo and gauges, and switches.

I went over the lot with a rasp to clean off the sharp and burred edges. I also bent up the centre console ready for fitting.

The only thing i have left to do before bolting the dash in is put the bend across the main part where the top rail used to be.


That was it for today really. :P
