Hi all
To anyone thinking of buying an ACR2 or ACR4 code reader,

I been using a ACR4, with 30350800 v3 pod . 300565 v1 + Eric
If you need airbags then use 30358500 v4 pod

SPI lead 30211600 three pin white plug, works fine
MPI lead 30214000 16 pin J1962 plug, mine will not connect with some ECU’s
I use generic lead 30212400 which works fine,
Also buy an extension lead 30213400 to make life easier.

Of cause the reading you get will only help if you know how to interpret them

John

I am sure someone can give a better answer as I do not have an SPi but I just looked at the official Rover manual and it appears to be under the bonnet at the back, to the left and next to the main relay. It is a round socket and different from the MPi type. There are very few code readers that can be used with a Mini.

Hi Everyone

I have an ACR4 code reader with the the Rover v3 Pod. I have also got the SPI harness.

When I connect this to my car the ACR4 self testing runs ok. I can then select the ECU for my car 'MEMS > SPI with Cat'. I then get an error "Data connection error...retry'

I do not have another car to test if its the coder reader/harness or an issue with my car. Anybody experienced this issue?

Also I'm in East Yorkshire so if anybody nearby has an SPI maybe we could try it on your car? I get to test the Code reader and you get a free diagnostics - if it works that is!

Cheers
Darren

How do I get the components data? When I switch on the engine, the ACR2 loses communication and screen goes blank!

Tried connecting the scan tool with the engine running, no change!

Any suggestions?

Which data pod do you have? And where is it connected to? Which plug and where is your power source?

Rover 3 data pod, white 3 pin plug lead 30211600, under bonnet connection, using lead on starter as power source.
