Cheers Stuart, it might take still a couple of years, we'll see...

Quick mission in the garage this morning. Finishing a few spot welds to the inner wings that were missing when the front subframe was still in.

Car on the jig, easy to turn around.

There's a small area where I can't reach with the spot welder, none of the electrodes I have can do the work...

So I did a few plug welds and reinforced the corner between the inner wing and the front panel.

A bit of grinding and paint and all sorted.

Same on the other side...

And all finished off.

I still need to fabricate those small plates th join the wings, the front panel and the A-panels along the wheel arch. Hopefully tomorrow...

Cheers.

Victor.

Not much done this weekend, good weather is pushing me to do other things, but at least I managed to get a couple of hours in the garage.

I had to finish this roof repair. Now with the car on the jig, it is easier to grind the underside of the repair.

I still need to fill a few small holes, but other than that it should be fine and it is very solid.

Outside it needed a bit of fine grinding as well.

I also did a bit of panel beating to get any small distortions corrected.

Finally I spot welded the repair panel along the gutter.

So this is almost done. Hoepfully I will finish it next time I'm back to the garage.

Cheers.

Victor.

Good work Victor!

Here are some measurements for the outer piece of the inner wing that the A-panel gets crimped onto. Should help you get it roughly the correct shape.

All in mm and increments of 100mm top to bottom. The last piece goes from 35mm to zero to meet with the small tab on the bottom of the inner wing.

Hi Colin

I am looking for these measures for ages !   :D

Did you measure those on a heritage panel ?
