Hi guys, I have a 1992 Mini Cooper with a hif44 carb last of the carb models. Changed the radiator today to a fletcher and brought the fletcher hoses. Everything went back together a treat however I can’t get the hose onto the water pump for love nor money. To me it’s as if the hose is too thick and it’s fowling on the timing chain cover. I can get it on a bit but not far enough down. I’ve used dish soap to live it up but it still won’t budge. I can’t see how I’d get the hose on and then a jubilee clip either as it’s very tight. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated I’m sure it’s probably something very simple I’m missing but after two hours tonight I could not get the thing on. Thank you
