small update

well i havent really had that much time with this horrible uni work, but did manage to get home a few weekends back.

as the mini was kinda blocking the caravan in and with the folks wanting to use it. was time to find a new resting home. so me dad had a wicked idea about using some spare bricks and old shed to create some hard standing and shelter for the poor girl!

Posted Image

so just started laying the bricks onto the soil (behind garage). As the garage is coming down in the summer. So its only temporary.

Posted Image

Posted Image

right as the engine is still in the subby it had no front end!! so i had a wicked idea!! attached my dads Massey Ferguson's rear hydraulic arms to the mini with rope. So as the arms lifted it would raise the mini of the ground! in theory!!

Posted Image

well it kinda worked

Posted Image

but there just wasnt enough ground clearance when the arms were fully up!

Posted Image

so that idea was scraped, dont know what muppet thought of it! lol

so my dads mate came round and he said why dont we just lift! didnt think we would manage it! but by heck the thing is light without a engine!!!

so we just 'wheel-barrowed' it onto the hard standing!! piece of cake...lol

so i went back to Cov and left my dad putting up the rest of the shed

home sweet home... well for the next few months!

Well its going low, and wide, but not TOO wide, 10x6 wellers and group 6 arches.

Really need to pull my finger out now and get the work done to it.

Should have put that bet on that stupid horse race  The bloke at work stuck £50 on "Silver Birch"!!!
Thats...*works it out*...£1650!! He's got!
If id have put £40 on it i would have had enough to get it done! (Odds were 33-1)

Damn, oh well.

Keep up the good work, when you ca, with your project.

 :)

Nice shed, and thats a nice garage ur building too :dozing: (soz couldn't resist, it was just waiting for someone to say it :- ) Its great having a roof over the car to work in - but, just a thought, dont u want to make it a bit wider, so you've acctually got room to work on the car??

time for an update me thinks

well back from uni!! having finished my degree!! woop woop!!

so got cracking on getting the front end rolling again!!

first on the list was to buy a flip front!!

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

then i painted the subrame!!

Posted Image

Posted Image

more messing about with the flip front!! (yes im a big kid!)

Posted Image

what do you reckon new trend?? may have a downside or two!! lol

Posted Image

so the hope is to get it rolling this weekend then start fitting the front end.. so i can start the mammoth task of prepping the shell for paint!! .. which im not looking forward to!!

but cant wait to get it painted finally! looks like a right tip in about 5 different colours!!

ahh well.. its rainging AGAIN!! hence not working on the car.. fingures crossed i can get some work down on it over the weekend!!..
