Just scanned through the whole thread from 2007. Fantastic.

My project will be quite a lengthy one as i'm on a small budget as i'm 13 but i'm taking it slow

Blimey. That's all can say. Blimey. So this September you'll reach the ripe old age of 16 and you've done all this already? Also ...

I must have missed something here. Do we know about this E-type?
Is it yours too? I wouldn't be surprised.

I mean, ok, you're not doing ALL the work but as a piece of project mangement it's just .... blimey.
Could you pop over and run our railways, please?

Oh, and minimarco, your avatar is so gloriously spooky I have to keep watching it

Sandblasted the engine bay and boot myself, along with some hard to sand areas in the interior. also, taken out the remote gearchange, stripped it, will regrease and rebuild on monday.

I had to wear this hood, a parka and winter gloves to protect myself from the sand. unfortunately, we had 30 degree celsius weather with a blazing sun...brutal. haha.

Hi

I hate to butt in on this project, but as i was reading through i noticed this image by mad4mins. Does anyone know what white that is?, as in colour code or proper name, cause that is the exact colour i wasnt to spray mine!

Excellent project by the way, looks as if its going to be a stunner!

thanks
sam

well i think i've decided on a grey. it dones have a number. JE46 is the ICI autocolour code. i figure a modern colour is a better choice, so i can easily get paint mixed if i need more. so i'll get a small sample, make sure theres nothing funny about it, and then i'll spray up the interior, engine bay and boot! after that and undercoaring, i can actually start putting this BACK together.
