I bought some hi los, so now its fairly slammed, had to adjust the right wheel arch lip, bent in funny and fouled the wheel on full lock. got the toe adjusted, steering column centred, and the indicator switch and ignition attached. I sprayed the cowling black, as now that everything else is done up nicely, they looked ratty.

I cleaned up the switch panel, painted it black, shined up the chrome trim bit. I bought a new lower dash pad, doesn't fit some trimming will be required, and a new gear leaver boot. I also am getting a new 2 way switch for the wiper motor, as its a two speed, and i want to keep the toggles. also found a used washer pump to put on my switch panel.

wow i really should update this more often. the new vinyl dash pad is in, heater is in place, wires run for speakers at the back, fuel pump wired up and installed on the rear subframe. aaaaaaand i fired her up! very loud with just an exhaust manifold, but i tootled throught the shop. had to adjust the shift linkage at the back of the engine, i couldn't quite "reach" 1st and 3rd, that was a bit of a *yellow human water* about but i got it sorted. i've decided to pain the inside of the hood, trunk and doors as well as their respective jambs and slam panels as it will be cheaper if the bodyman just has to paint the outside. its getting closer!!!

alright so I installed the two 4inch speakers i bought in the rear parcel shelf, made up and adaptor plate for the Dino italian steering wheel as well as modified an austin centre cap to fit onto it. I've started to prep the door jambs, window edges and trunk shut lines to paint, so it will be easier, and therefore cheaper, for the bodyman to do the outside. I also lined up teh removable pickup grille and installed the grille buttons. pictures to come

I got the centre pipe of the exhaust made up over the weekend, so yesterday i got everything clamped into place and started it up. sounds quite nice without being too loud either. Still need to make a hanger at the front of the rear subframe, but i'll probably do that today. I will be removing the muffler for paint though as i don't want that to get ruined! I'm running low on things to be doing before paint, but if i get the arches in from England soon, I can drill the necessary holes so some paint gets into them. I've decided to go with wood and Pickett arches, so I will not have to drill into the wings, just the mounting lip, which I prefer. I'll have them painted black to match the roof. I'll probably make up some seat brackets for the aluminum Kirkey seat pretty soon, and after thats in place to a comfortable position i can do the final steering column adjustments and mount the tach at an angle where i can see it, probably just to the left of the centre binnacle. Its a used Smiths item, with and adjustable redline. thats it for now!

I have been doing little things, added more insulation on the firewall replacing the temperature sender. I got the damaged door fixed and primered for 150 bucks, which was a good price. but the owner did it himself for me, to save money, so when i sent over the other door and hood and boot, cause i thought for that sort of price itd be a good way to get a better finish. but it totalled 1200 cause he got the shop guys to do it at regular price. so I'm picking up my job hours hahahahaha but don't worry, I'll get her finished!!!!

yeah i'm hoping to get it done by summer, but remember. i'm still at school hahaha, and working another job to fund it. and yeah thats how its looking, two doors hoot and trunk. ken thought it'd be like 5-600, but i guess thats how things go. put on a few more hours and i'll have enough to get this baby painted haha. cause i'm running out of things to do before that step.
