Thanks! its nowhere near perfect, but I'm proud of my efforts. Certainly not the easiest job to do! Haven't been able to get too much done, trimmed the excess vinyl and reglued where necessary, and added the finishing piece of vinyl along the bottom of the rear window. I'll install the C pillar finishers and window rubbers next time I'm in. Only windows, seats, and final hi-lo adjustment left to do! always little bits here and there, windshield wipers, handbrake gaiter and pedal rubbers, but it's almost there! I also have to get a rod made up for the smooth accelerator pedal I got from Mini Delta in Japan, as it's meant for RHD minis. theres a pedal in there for now though. Still have to decide on the wheel colour as well. Thats all for now.

Got the C pillar covers in, as well as the rear window rubber and side window rubbers. C pillar covers were a bit fiddly to get to stay in place, and the rubber as well but overall not too bad of a job. All looks nice and black now. Also painted seat mounting brackets, may only end up using one pair, if i go with the racing seats, can't really decide at the moment, what seat i'd like. I want the modern support, but classic look, and don't have the money for a classic bucket! theres one in the shop, i could get it for cheap, but the viny'ls ripped, and the wrong colour.

Right, photo time, got a few things done today, bought new seat belts as my old fixed ones were fraying, and safety isn't the area to skimp on. inertia reel will be nice, even though i'll have a harness for the driver seat for track days. got the passenger seat in, floor mats, the 4 panel rear view mirror. anyways, heres the pics.

Well, I bought a foam padded cover for it. To be honest i've only ever driven it down the road twice, so I can't really comment on their comfort. but stationary it's not painful at all, i'd imagine over longer periods of time it'd start to get sore, not alot of padding! the bolsters have been cut down on mine, but it's still a fairly supportive seat, at least I hope it will be when driving in anger! One of the best benefits is you can position it just right for your driving, as well as your height. I angled mine slight to the right, to angle my feet towards the pedals a little more, as they are offset from the steering wheel.

Finished up the throttle pedal mods today, looks pretty good! alot of work, but hey, anyone can buy parts right? Sits pretty close to the brake pedal, but I don't wear big clompy shoes, so I should be okay. better for heel and toe! also got the opening quarter windows in, after cleaning them up. I think i'll buy some grip tape (for skate boards) and put lines of it on the new accelerator pedal, cause it's shiny and smooth. heres some pics.

So not too much recent progress, been having to work on my dad's nissan micra, but I did get an extension bracket made for the swinging numberplate hanger. Our big fat plates need extra room for the light! I'll have some pictures when I do something more important.

So the front and rear windows are in, windshield wipers, I also bought a High mount brake light, as the car is low, with small brake lights and the rednecks in pickup trucks might not see me...and kill me. The double sided tape is a bit noticeable on the windscreen, but I may notice it more cause i'm looking for somethign to be wrong. Only things left are the Swinging license plate hanger, which is out being powdercoated in a little bit, and I have to bead seal my wheels, all the tires are slowly leaking. I think I'd also like to repaint the spokes on my steering wheel, the paints looking a bit worn.

So I took a bunch of pictures, i'm not great at photographing, but I thought I shyould take some decent ones. I also beadsealed the tires, went underneath and ziptied the battery cable in two places, and the fuel feed to the fuel pump, just so they don't get ripped off! I also measured the ground clearance to the muffler and sumpguard (lowest points). after raising and filling the tires, its 4 inches...pretty good? i don't know haha. I also scraped the gunk off the steering wheel, and i don't think i'll repaint it now, it came up alright. Just need the license plate hanger painted, then I'll install it and the light...then the snow needs to melt so i can drive her! Oh, and the windshield filet strips need installation as well. heres some pictures!

Came out really nice! Looks like the underside could use a bit more underseal?

Yeah, it's come off in a few places, I think I may go around and carefully lay a bit more down for peace of mind. Not concours car, more worried about rust!

Your car looks amazing! Are the alloys 10X6? And what arches are they?

Yeah, 10x6 Mamba alloys, with cooper s discs up fron and spaced rear drums. Wood and Pickett replicas, from Mini Spares. The front of the arch lip has been rebent/cut to run the car at it's current height, and the arches were trimmed up front as well. Thanks for the kind words, I'm very proud of the finished product! Can't wait for the snow to melt here so I can drive her!

Did a few bits today, went around and went over some exposed metal with undercoat, took some grey caulking and sealed the wing-hood channel gap and the tops of the seam finishers. Can never be to careful when it comes to rust! Also made up a battery tiedown out of angle iron, and a couple J hooks. Need to find a spare wheel, looking for another mamba, but they're hard to come by as one, especially over here! I think I'll make a boot board as well, as they clean the trunk up nicely, and give a nicer spot for things to sit on. Just minor things now as I'm waiting to drive her!
