worth gettin a bolt in one? or spend the bucks and get a weld in cage?

tried to keep the extinguisher somewhere close to hand, was thinking of mounting on the cage but its a bit awkward (sp) to get to?

weld in's are a load more money than bolt in's..

haven't posted in here for a while, been naff weather so not alots been happening..

updated to do list:

fit new arches
fix oil leak (possibly from the gear selector rod)
get remaining welding done
order and fit new doors
fit new heated windscreen and remove fan unit
respray

but more importantly, get it through the dreaded MOT at the end of the month!

looking a little sorry for itself...

right ive bitten the bullet. ive bought a pug 205 run around and ive taken the mini off the road.

watch this space for new panels, fresh paint, lightweight bits, KAD stopping and cornering goodies and general race themed tomfoolery.. :thumbsup:

first parts order placed - gaz lowered dampers, coil spring conversion, front cage and doorbars.

to order this week - doors and perspex glazing.

started stripping the interior to make way for the new bits..

ul have to let us know what the springs are like compared to cones! where u get um from, and what colour are they?

hopefully this weekend i should see some progress..

the interior is very lacking compared to the last pics, drivers seat frame has arrived, shocks, springs, front cage and door bars have arrived and the aluminium doors arrive on friday :cool:

me and the missus spent the majority of the weekend hunched over in the mini with a hammer and chizzle, scraper, wire brush and a drill with sander attachment. she is now off work with a trapped nerve (opps) and my knee is shagged.

but horrah bye bye black [censored] bitumin stuff aka "sound proofing". a nice weight saving tho :lol:

its all chizzled out now, i just have to spend time scraping and wire brushing before painting.
