also since those pics were taken ive also lost the lower dash rail and the heater matrix/fan. no wonder the heater never worked it was filled with a nice stomache retching brown sludge. now nice and flushed out, on a for sale section near you shortly.

hehe, selling all the bits of interior im not planning on putting back in...

plus i need a bit of a fund raiser before i sort the dash out.

no major progress unforunately, floor is now painted and marked up for the seats. dash is completly stripped waiting on welding under the windscreen.

fibreglass bonnet is trial fitted.

ive unpicked all of the dash loom for custom dash. which was fun, for some reason my loom did not match any listed in haynes. its a 1992 carb model yet the wiring seems more like an injection model??

need to get my arse in gear.

ah rite!

have you had a quote for the welding or are you doing it yourself??

because i've got rust in the same place you mentioned, which i only noticed after i took the windscreen out! it looks like a previous owner has pudding'd up the scuttle, but has let water get in 1st, so the dash has rotted!!

was hoping it's not too expensive for a welder to do it...considering i'm gettin a whole new scuttle so it can all be chopped out!!

i think the dash is going to have to wait for the time being, bits arent selling as quick as id like..

on the bright side, i have just ordered:

solid front subframe mount kit
KAD rose jointed adjustable caster tie bars
KAD rear camber/caster adjustble brackets
rose jointed adjustable camber lower arms
bottom rad hose with no heater take-off
rose joint dust seals

the buttons for the steering controls should arrive tomorrow (bar 1 indicator switch - typical)

think its safe to say its going to corner.. lol

rear subframe is not worth a cheese toasty so that needs replacing. got the majority of it stripped down just soaking the bolts in penetrating fluid.

new heritage frame aquired thanks to those very helpful people at minispares.
