The combination of Mini, accident, mist/fog keeps making me think of this too:-

Okay you all weren't heading back from some house party in the early hours of the morning, drunk, high and speeding, but you had to contend with dense fog, so it's good nobody was badly hurt.

Have you all been checked over at the hospital? Get your tummy ache checked too Raz, I hope you all get well soon too.

aww ;) thats :dontgetit:

Yea i went to Horsham Hospital on friday, they said they cant do much so go to A+E or GP, so i made a docs apppointment. She said that i have classic whiplash and that the tummy pains are prob from where the seat belt pulled me, which makes sense. I have anti inflammatory tablets and strong pain killers which have helped a little. MY mate gave me a massage last night and thats probably helped the most. HAve kind of hurt my back again at work today tho :S, Worked yday took my mind off things, worked today and hurt me back :bah:. I'm not sure if the others have been hospital?!

Ta-daaaa ... no more fog! Nasty bend. I'd be surprised if the houseowners aren't used to cars arriving in the garden.

:'( :'( :'( That pic made me cry :dontgetit:

How did u get that? Its horrible! They said its not the first or second time someone has been in their garden- so they put up a fence...which isnt up any more ;)

Imagine that road, pitch black, foggy, wet :'( :'( :'( O god :bah:. And the bit of their garden is a drop, so as i was rolling i didnt have a clue where i was going :-

I know that corner very well, lots of adverse cambers :dontgetit: What speed do reckon you were doing then? Isn't the speed limit for that road something stupid like 50/60? Even as an experienced driver who has driven that road many times, it can still catch me out, even at slow speeds.

I have driven through fog/snow up there were it was near zero visibilty :- I know it sounds silly, but the more lighting you have on in thick fog, the lower the visibilty, as it just reflects loads of light back at you.

Hope you all recover soon :bah: and Raz, that mini i thought was yours for sale on a thread last week, isn't it near you? Its not Molly, but still looks like a nice car, when your ready of course ;)

your welcome , I sooo wanted to say i could sort molly out but as you now know the combination of both the roof and the subframe pushing into the bulkhead by your pedals is more than i can take on :'(

If some other willing volunteers come forward that have the equipment to push the floor back out and get the roof into shape HINT HINT... come on guys - anyone local good as panelbashing???? HINT HINT then i'll willingly come along and do what i can

The roof damage is clearly shown in the photos the offside of the subframe has been pushed back and the front wings bent - any takers for a working party???

MAjor B- Yea ill have a look at that, Have been looking at several minis, there are some LOVELY ones around. thanks! Obviously none compare to molly :ermm: Yea when me and dad were on our way back frm the crash later that evening it was still so foggy and the more light the harder it was to see!!I was sooo nervous driving in that. I cant drive that road again :'(horrible!

Ollie180-i really doubt we were doing 40, honestly it was much lower than that because remember i said to u bout 20 secs b4 the crash,im so scared i cant see, then we slowed right down. Plus, going up the hill i was going bout 30 because molly was REALLY struggling. So id say it was less than that but at the time i was looking at the road..trying to see where the hell i was going, so i could be wrong.

On that map tho it really doesnt look that bad, which makes it depressing,to drive it in that condition, well i didnt :dontgetit: because ididnt quite make the bend  :P im so ;) stupid and angry at myself. Im just so pleased every one is ok, and ur ok Ollie, id feel SO guilty if nething happened to you since u volunteered to go in my car!

LOL nice hinting scrutineer!! :- Thanks for having a look :bah:. I think i should HINT HINT to dad to get a garage :- ;).

I had a good look round the area both on the night and today.
Part of my involvement in scrutineering can be to go out with the safety cars after a big shunt on circuits so You get to recognise some tell tale signs.... The tyre marks were plain to see that night and with that and looking at how they just dropped over the edge rather than flying i'm totally convinced they were driving sensibly. the police said they same but i wanted to see for myself ....... after all this one was personal! ( i'm mooning mini fans dad) ;)

one things for sure - if i'd thought they were going dangerously .... i would say something
