working on it still tonight?? the slave migh be the problem, it happened on my friends mini aswell, had to be trailer to southam they picked up on it very quickly

mine was like that yesterday doing the cylinder head, leaning right forward because it was dark and i was working by torch!

on a plus note, once the mystry of the stuck motor is solved, I only have tappets and clutch to bleed and I am done :-

done secondary checks, just got to make a heater control valve gasket... I had one buts since gone walkies :-

if its just heater controll, take u mean on the head? hylomar should be ok...or cerial packet with hylomar

Was going to do a fag packet with blue instant gasket. Hope I'll pick a proper gasket up at Malvern, I don't like bodgerary.

could do the heater with card temporarily, cerial packet would probably be better, quite thick for what it is and can squish a little

Well I got a proper gasket for the heater tap, but now, I have something VERY weired going on, no power to the coil or dizzy, and no power or conductivity to the top fuse :kiss:

But on a plus note, engine turns, tappets adjusted etc etc, once I get a spray, it'll fire :)

You know the engine mount that goes onto the clutch housing, the lower bolt of the three bolts must have been too long, and was touching the flywheel, but I;ve slackened all the bolts on the transfer case, and it spins with no problem now.

Just sorting out why I had no power to my coil, thats now sorted, so hopefully I'll get it finially started tomorrow.
