you should do mate, there is a killing to be made out there, especially if you turn them round as quick as you do for your own.

wow! That's amazing how quickly you built that engine up. If only I had the knowledge to that I woud be well pleased. So when are you estimating having it ready for the road again Dan?

Keep posting the pics of your work i am learning more about engines through parts of this project pages than I have in the last couple of years.

Unfortunately the chap i have lined up to spray the car can't fit me in until the start of july so the car probably won't be running until the end of july / early august.

At least the engine will already be run in and set up, so as soon as the car is running i'll be able to thrash it!

No I don't think it'll be quite that much, not a million miles away though.

Can't wait to get it on the track, look forward to seeing a few of you out there

Cheers,
Dan

Dan,

Going by the red in the bores, did you oil up the rings and bores with cam lube? Just about to install mine and was wondering if this would be better to use than standard oil as the engine could be sat a while before it first gets run.

Cheers,
Graeme.

Its engine building lube, probably exactly the same as cam lube, although this is torco stuff if memory serves.

Cheers,
Dan

Yeah I think so, I've been deliberating over the colour for a long long time but I think it will be a charcoal type colour for sure.

I've set myself a bit of a target for completion as the Castle Combe action day so hopefully i'll see a few of you there....as ever i'll be happy to give everyone a p ride :withstupid:

Yep, I love giving passenger rides....any excuse to drive it is fine by me.

Trust me, you will want one - ever since I took the first ride in my brothers when I was 14 I vowed I would have one one day!

No real progress since last weekend, i've been fitting a kitchen for a mate after work every day this week.....I've ordered a rather special exhaust system for it though today, in an effort to get the noise to a level where they let me on track......of course induction roar once I get on the circuit will be a different matter!!!
