The guy said something like that when he was explaining what it was, i was hoping you had one so that i cud ask you where you had the gearbox machined and where you got the bits from, oh well i'll ave a word with BES.

Anyways, let us know how it goes on the dyno, i was thinkin bout doin the same with the 's' motor just so i know its gonna be perfect when it goes in the car.

oh looking nice, are the equil length drive shafts worth it? iv seen places people are saying that because the diff is fairly central and the track isnt very big that the shafts wont wind up much

I don't know is the honest answer, i've only ever run it with equal length shafts so I couldn't make a direct comparison :P

I'm guessing the equal length shafts are to supposedly eliminate torque steer?

That is the idea behind them yes, as to their effectiveness I have never run without them so I couldn't comment - as I mentioned earlier.

Well I'm not going to say ditch or anything, not much point as you already have it, but this article might be of interest to you...

Linky.

This was the topic on 16V when it was discussed.

not turning this into another topic about torque steer but a certain percentage is due to drive shaft wind up the longer they are the more chance they have to move the rotational point, if you have stronger or thicker drive shafts this will be eliminated, titanium for example is stronger there for wont twist

its annoying now im not at college, i cant just go ask my tutors about it (my crazy hungarian steering suspension geometry tutor lol )

I've read that article before as it happens, I have done other modifications including looking at the scrub radius which is a major contributor to the wayward handling of mini's on big wheels with loads of offset........don't worry I haven't just strapped a monster engine to the car without considering anything else.
