heres my ebay special carbon fibre wing mirrors, 60 quid the pair. If they're not real carbon they're a pretty good fake, extremely light too!

Oh and if they are anything llike mine I know they're carbon fibre as one very hot sunny day one of the mirrors fell out!!!!! Could see from the inside then so checked :P

So a word of warning if it's very hot keep your fingers crossed they haven't used a hot glue gun type glue to stick the mirror glass into place as it doesn't like the heat! lol

Thankfully it didn't shatter (just a big chip) so bought some mirror glass from halfrauds and got a local glass cutters to trace the shape for me.

Thanks Ade.

Off topic but, I guess you have your reasons for selling your car, unfortunately you're in the same position I was in when I (foolishly) sold mine, its so difficult to get a decent amount of money for something so specialised, although your car is in much better condition than mine was when I sold it.....good luck with it.

True I'm finding that out now, although there are plenty of interested parties, just need to find one with lots of cash

I know I'll be gutted when it goes but that'll be the perfect excuse to harass the other half into letting me get a cheeky gsx-r 600........... :P

I had a lot of interest from the states, unfortunately the car needs to be 25 years old to import....what year is yours registered on?

It's registered 1975. :P

If it doesn't sell soon I'm giving alot thought into advertising in the states. Would be a shame to never see it again though.....

Finally started on the body in earnest, after totally stripping everything that was left off the shell - battery cable, brake line, seat mounts, pedal box and master cylinders and a few other bits and bobs.

Decided to cut the boot floor out for starters....

Bizarrely there seems to be no weight difference at all between the two boot floors.

My trolley is proving extremely useful, being able to work on it at a decent level and move it around is marvellous!

Got the first of the A panels off to find the inner wing pretty rotten too.....I have a pair of new inner wing panels to fit though so thats OK.

It does look pretty sorry for itself at the moment though!

Dan

New flitch panel then Dan? Seems like there is no lip left on the old one to attach an A panel to.

Yep, i've got some major plans for the front end too, to give me more room to fit ancillaries in the engine bay so I was planning on cutting the front end apart too..taking some inspiration from the mig's with a full width weber box, just without the weber in there....
