I'll contact the chap that had my brothers old long setup off him to see if he intends to use the cams, as they were L14's.

In fact...I spy him reading this sometimes so he may well cut out the middle man....

Cheers for that Dan. That would be great.

Im thinking about putting up a thread....only problem is my camera's charger has gone walkabout...so will have to sort that out pdq or I will have put it all together.

Kind regards,

David

Dan,

Can you tell me which linkage you use for your carbs.

On mine I have a little triangle bolted on the manifold for the cable and the carbs above it are very close together (for more direct flow)....they are so close I will have to cut down the end of the spindles a touch.... I need to source the necessary linkage.

Cheers,

David

David,

Like you I don't use one of the lever operated linkages, I have a similar direct cable setup, although mine is attached to the bottom of one of the carbs as I have a long inlet manifold so the original bracket is too far away and angles the cable too much. My Spindles are cut down to suit too.

I am considering useing one of the underslung linkages though.

Cheers,
Dan

Dan,

Sorry, I meant which arm to use.

I have the underslung one for the 7 port...which I had a look to see if it would fit, but it wont on mine due to too much interference.

I am wondering if the lotus one will fit like this one

Penty of that horrible rust stuff! Fortunately the crossmember has none of it, as thats about the only bit of the front end I intend to retain.....

I'm opening it up to give me more room for C**p basically....as my suspension no longer runs on the body i'm utilising the old suspension mount area to tie the cross member back into the cage and retain the rigidity whilst opening it all up for loads of engine bay room.

I have a feeling it wont be a complete waste of time carl :w00t:
